Distance to Glen Davis from Mudgee via Capertee 104.km and via Rylstone 105km.

For our Rylstone/Kandos Members who would like to join us I suggest we meet you at Glen Davis Community Centre.

7:30 Lovejoy carpark to Capertee to Glen Davis
Overnight Optional camping overnight Saturday 16th at Coorongooba camping grounds
9:30 Meet at Glen Davis community center and camping ground, Glen Davis (Toilet facilities available)
Morning tea – bring something to share
10:00 Lookout over Glen Davis and the oil shale ruins (excellent photo opportunities)
11:30 Coorongooba camping grounds (2WD access unless after rain then 4WD)
12:00 Lunch
Group can split at this stage
Easy grade Explore the junction of Coorongooba Creek and Capertee River (Bird watching, Kangaroos and Wombats) and/or Capertee river trail exploration (7.5km fire trail, good condition).
Medium grade

(3hrs return)

Walking up Coorongooba Creek to discover abandoned mine entrances that once serviced the National oil shale mine and refinery. 3km to Running Stream Creek.
