Trail beside the disused rail on western outskirts of Mudgee which could immediately provide a quiet safe riding environment. Such a trail should be made continuous between Kandos and Gulgong for walkers and cyclists. The trail would provide a economic boost through tourism to each location between.
The proposal has been supported in principle by the Mid-Western Regional Council. The key step is for the NSW Government giving con-sent for the general public to access the disused rail corridor for cycling and walking purposes.
