SUNDAY 15TH JANUARY 2017 – GOULBURN RIVER NATIONAL PARK

Date: Sunday, November 15th Janurary 2017

Meet: 7.30am Lovejoy  Street, Mudgee or  8.30 – 9am Big River Camping Area, Goulburn River National Park.

Where To: Big River Camping Area, Goulburn River National Park.  Access via Mogo Road.

Description : River walk for about 2-3 kilometers return (easy).  The Goulburn River is also an excellent river to take your li-lo.  There is plenty of wildlife to spot and aboriginal sites along the river to explore.  The road into the park is unsealed but good condition.

Morning tea: on arrival at the Big River Camping Area.

Bring: Drinking water, Sunscreen, hat, morning tea and lunch.  Also li-lo, swimmers or board shorts and shoes suitable to walk in the river and  a towel.

Note:  This National Park is a great place to camp, so if you have time the night before or after our activity, we suggest camping the night at either Spring Gully or Big River Camping Areas. There is a pit toilet, picnic tables and BBQ’s located in the camping areas.
