The walk is entry-level, free and open to women who are interested in giving bushwalking a go. Grab your friends, sisters and co-workers and find yourself in nature! The club extends this to the gentleman folk and those that are assisting on the day.

Discover the shared adventure of bushwalking this Women’s Week!
Join Mudgee Bushwalking and Bike Riding Club Inc for a pleasant walk along the Meroo River with some history to note, including the Chinese water race and local history.
There is the potential option for a longer walk to suit the participants and also for a shorter route there and back (6-8kms).

When: Sunday 8 March 2026 Time: 8.30am Walk length: 6-10km Meeting Point: Lovejoy Street carpark (Douro Street entrance), for registration with a re-meet Windeyer Cemetery. (42km from Mudgee along the Hill End Road, turn off at Grattai Hall and continue on the Windeyer Road.)
Walk duration: 3-4 hours
Walk grade: Grade 3 (Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may have short steep hill sections a rough surface and many steps.)
Meeting point: Register to receive details before the walk (see above) also.
Please bring food & hydration goodies to enjoy a stop along the way. PPE gear ie suitable walking shoes, hat, walking poles optional, daypack to carry your goodies. Looking forward to meeting you if for the first time with the club. We will have time to stop and take photos and rest stops where needed.
In celebration of NSW Women’s Week, this event is open to all women aged 18 years and over.
