For this activity we had several options for members and visitors alike,.   As a leader for the day I am fairly easy-going; just walk behind me in a straight line, don’t mess up the bush and don’t leave any rubbish behind, and ensure that you have not been left behind and to return home safe & sound.
Munghorn area after a shower of rain makes the bush come alive; well so we thought we could hear the creaking of the fungi and crackling underfoot most of the time.  Opposite (over the road) from the Moolarben Picnic area is where the walk began today, we followed the large boulder’s skyline until we met a gully that had narrowed enough to hide the concave rock formation creating an ever so slight waterfall. The layers of rock forming the ridge overhead was truly amazing and formed the eaves of the waterfall. Here we took a few photos. We then scrambled back down onto the gully floor for 500metres or so and turned right in another gully to view the bower of the ‘Bower Bird’. So if anything blue was around, it had been nicely placed here. The watercourse then led us to another interesting area where on the right of the valley heading in an upward direction we were able to scramble around some rocks.  On the previous visit with John and myself we had discovered a wombat who was not shy and kept an eye on John, while enjoying the sunshine.  After a rock scramble and view of the area from the top we then headed across the timbered area to meet up with the Wollar Road, all crossed safely and then we enjoyed a nice picnic lunch.
All up an enjoyable  day spent in the bush with 15 members and our visitors Eddie, Laura and Toran.
