Wednesday 10th June saw some changes of the guard or volunteers to keep the club moving forward.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was followed by the Quarterly General Meeting where many members were on hand to get the latest activities information and provide feedback from past events.
The club has an amazing committee that meet up approx 4 times throughout the year to take on board those activity suggestions and to tick all the necessary boxes that is needed for the club to keep up with club procedures.
Bill Kempton was again nominated for the Presidents’ role and the refreshed team consists of: Secretary 1 & 2: Jane Young, Lyn Van Putten. Treasurer: Steve Guihot, Public Officer: Glen Hill, Safety Officer: Eric Caswell, Riders’ Representative: Bill Webster Website/Club calendar/FB: Joby Mitchell along with Michael Cook for IT. Committee general: Ian Young, Karen Riley. Venue/Hall Monitor: Ian Young. Honorary Club Custodian: Elly Rands. The club has 3 Life Members; Joe Doyle, Neville Higgs, Elly Rands.
Several positions do remain vacant: Vice President; Minutes Secretary; committee member. Hoping to have these filled by the upcoming committee meeting 2 July 2026.
It goes without saying: A massive thank you to those that stepped down this year for all their valuable contribution to the club in their respective roles. Thank you to those that have been nominated for this year!
