Club Activity: Annual Club Walk ‘President’s Walk’ to the Drip and beyond/explore
Date: Sunday 22 November 2026 (Last walk on program for the year)
Leader(s): Club President -Bill Kempton Grade: Easy/Medium 2-3 Walk Distance: 3km +
Meeting Point: Lovejoy Street carpark (Douro Street entrance) for registering and carpooling (as reqd).
Meeting Time: early start due to heat of 8:00am
Re-meet: The Drip carpark. Time: 9:00am
Location: 50km north of Mudgee on the Ulan Cassilis Road, 10km past the Ulan and Moorlarben coal mines on the right hand side just after the bridge.
What to Bring: PPE suitable to for walking, BYO food to enjoy on the walk and hydration ++, personal first aid kit, gaiters optional, walking poles optional. Description: An easy hike of around an hour return, beautiful scenery with the Goulburn river and the gorge country along an easy to follow mostly flat path, with a few steps to navigate some steeper sections. It would be amazing during or just after rain but great on a sunny day as well. Map Ref: NPWS
All participants to pay attention to activity safety briefing at commencement of activity. The Leader(s) will distribute club equipment as required. Please ensure if your are joining in as a visitor for this activity; that you have read and signed the Acknowledgement of Risk form available at Meeting Place.
