Widden Valley explore- update (2 options)

Option 1: Widden Valley Weekend – 4 days/3nights depart early Saturday 06.08.22 – Return Tuesday 09.08.22

Option 2: Join/meet up with the above on the Sunday 07.08.2022 for a day walk.

Day walk set down for Sunday 07.08.2022: (early start) with Meet Time: 6:30am Lovejoy Street carpark &/or re-meet: Bylong (rest area) around 7:30am & then Widden 8:30/9:00am.

Details: Your hosts/Location: Louise and George Spring, Angus Pomany Stud, 3621 Widden Valley Road – Denman NSW. (Off the Bylong Valley Way) –Accommodation: at cottage now booked.(36km from Bylong on the Bylong Valley Way then a sharp right onto Widden Valley Road for 24km).

Camping: There is a large grassy area suitable for tents. $15.00 per night per tent. Campers are allowed to use house facilities. There is also a BBQ. Activities – walk and explore Blackwater Creek and surrounding area. Or chill out and enjoy the tranquility.

What to bring: Morning tea to share at the start of our walk, water to drink, lunch to eat. Make sure you have a hat, sturdy walking shoes and walking poles (optional)

Description: Grade: Medium – but not set in stone as we are visiting Widden Valley for the first time. You walk at your own pace and capabilities. It will certainly be an amazing experience with breathtaking views.

Note: Eric Caswell and Graham Pound will be leaving from Mt Coricudgy on Wednesday 3rd and hiking to Widden Valley arriving Saturday 6th where they will be welcomed by the group that are already there. (If anyone is interested in doing this section of the hike contact Eric Caswell – 6374 1636 in the evening)
