Club Activity: Walk the Mt Knowles area – (private property) Leader(s): Bill K & Eric C & property owner Grade: Difficult Walk Distance:14km Activity Description: Walk from property owners residence (Melrose Road) walk in easterly direction (approx 5km) then S.E direction along ridge line to Mt Knowles trig, appox 2km (approx 1000metre altitude). Conditions: Some steep grades. Possible ‘scrambling’ involved. Will be navigating rocks, fallen timber and scree. Walking poles recommended. What to Bring: PPE suitable to for walking, BYO lunch and hydration ++, personal first aid kit, gaiters optional, walking poles optional, walking poles recommended. Meeting Place: Lovejoy Street carpark (Douro Street entrance) for registering and carpooling (as reqd). Meeting Time: 8:15am As this walk is on a private property, address/directions for the walk will be supplied at meeting point. Noting the location of start of walk is approx 10mins from Mudgee township. All participants to pay attention to activity safety briefing at commencement of activity. The Leader(s) will distribute club equipment as required.
