Activity Description: Visit the Washpool and Gibraltar Range N/Park to take in all the fauna & flora that nature can provide. Waratah’s to delight and birdlife to note. Accommodation Options to suit. Walk options plentiful, however day walks selected by your leader Gretha and Ole Kroll. Note: these walks are subject to the weather elements). club last visited this beautiful area in 2023.  Proposed Itininary and subject to change as per Leader(s) discretion Travel Notes: Day 1: Travel to Glen Innes (accommodation) = approx. 6 hrs, a further hour to Mulligans Campground & Picnic area if camping / caravan option. Walks on offer and identified after Leader(s) completed recce in August. Day(s) 2-3 : Tree Fern Forest Walk: Grade- medium 8km circuit – 3 hrs followed by The Needles Walk: Grade-medium 6km -2.5 hrs. : Washpool walk: Grade-medium/hard 8.5km circuit – 3-4 hrs. : Dandahra Crags Walk: Grade-medium 6km circuit – 2.5 hrs. followed by Anvil Rock Walk: Grade-medium 4km return – 1.5 hrs. Day 4: More walk options tba Day 5: Travel back to Mudgee at your leisure. Accommodation: (Options)  Tent or Caravan at Mulligans campground & picnic area. Amenities were excellent last time with running water, flushing toilets and cold showers, picnic tables, BBQ, untreated tank water-boil before drinking. Sites were large. ie 2 vehicles = 6 persons $12.30 per site/night. Book with NPWS – National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757. Also accommodation with NSW National Parks for Gibraltar House: 949 Gwydir Highway, Gibraltar Range, NSW, 2370  (booked for club use) Check in: Friday 23/10/26 from 2:30pm/check-out: Monday 26/10/26 by 10:00am Facilities: Indoor fireplace, kitchen, plates and cutlery, pots and pans, washing machine, rubbish bin. What to bring: Bring your own linen; bed sheets, blankets, pillows, towels & food supplies. Bedding configuration: (suitable for 8 persons ‘inside’) = approx $70 per person (3 nights = Fri, Sat, Sun). Room 1: Queen size bed Room 2: 3 dble bunks (6 single beds in total) Also a Queen size sofa bed in the lounge room.    Additional guests may be permitted to camp at the property with prior approval from the ranger (fees apply). Please note NO mobile phone coverage at site. Motel Accommodation in Glen Innes or cabins at caravan park – note approx 1 hour from walk area. In town preference Rest Point Motor Inn (72 New England Hwy, Glen Innes) Tel: 026732 2255 Note: NPWS passes: A few options: eg. Day or Year pass, seniors card discount, concession card. Check on their web site. Only one pass needed per car. What to Bring: Club Equipment on hand.
