To be nominated in the Volunteer Service Award for the Mid-Western Regional Council 2023 Australia Day Awards.
I have not stopped smiling. It is a great honour and very much appreciated. I don’t consider myself a volunteer, I enjoy what I do and love to support the Region in whatever role it may be. Friends tell me I must learn to say NO but that word does not seem to be in my vocabulary.
That I did not get over the finish line is not because of the lack of support. Thank you to all my friends, my fellow bushwalkers and my fellow Rotarians for your good luck wishes and for being there on the day.
