
Walk: Point Hatteras & Ladders Defile
Location: Mugii Murram-Ban State Conservation Area/Capertee area.
Date of Walk: 02/08/2026 All day (6hrs plus travel time)
Grade/Description: Moderate walk with a 370m elevation at start/finish of track, on a well formed but steep dirt road. Point Hatteras track goes past the old Diamond Mine with beautiful views of the Capertee Valley and looking back towards Mount Marsden. Ladders Defile is a short beautiful tree fern area with some short ladder sections. Can be optional as its out and back.

Mostly fire trail, some off track to Ladders Defile. 3 Walk 12km
Meeting Place: Lovejoy St carpark and be ready to leave by 7.30am
Regroup at Capertee Rest Area before heading out to MMB
